brrr it's cold outside

Winter has officially hit Australia and just a fews days in I am all ready for the hibernation season. Give me woollen scarfs, pom-pom beanies, camel trench coats and I am ready to hit the streets like the fashion babes shot here at this years fashion weeks in New York, across Europe and a couple from down under.
Here are some of my favourite winter looks along with some cheeky style tips.

Keep it low
Finally, hemlines have dropped. For winter stay warm and go for dresses and skirts which are knee-length or longer and team with a wooly roll-neck jumper and killer ankle boots.

Triple Denim
It is not a secret how much I adore a good double denim combo. Winter is the perfect time to pair your chambrays with boyfriend jeans or a vintage denim jacket with a pair of overalls and say hello to the 80's.

Bright lights
We haven't seen the last of the fluro. For winter opt for shades of lime and lemon that can be paired back with grey and charcoal tones for a laid back look.

Layer, layer and add one more layer
I am loving the bomber underneath a trench coat look. Layers upon layers is always an favourite choice when it comes winter but this is the season to be daring! Have a peak of neon here, a touch of lace there, and maybe a lil' leather for good measure. There is no better way to keep warm.

Dress like a boss
Minimalist 'man' dressing has never looked so good. Oversized blazers with a matching tapered leg trousers and crisp white collared shirts is a personal favourite.

Prints
Checks are for winter what florals are for spring. A big woollen checked trench coat is a must-have and as I have mentioned before nothing ozzes cool 90's grunge like a flanny tied around your waist.
